| We are delighted that Music of Life Foundation has been chosen as one of the three good causes at Waitrose Finchley Road in London this month.
Waitrose runs the scheme that allows its customers to nominate a charity which receives a proportion of £1,000 they divide between three local causes each month. When you pay for your groceries at Waitrose tills you are given green tokens that you should place in one of the boxes according to your preference. 07.12.2010: Claire Doran makes a solo debut with RPO and GCS |
| The Autumn 2010 concert by Guildford Choral Society at Guildford Cathedral was a culmination of the first year of Music of Life - GCS collaboration which provides young singers with disabilities with opportunities to rehearse and perform with the Chorus. A 18-year-old autistic soprano Claire Doran has been invited to sing Pie Jesu in Faure’s Requiem with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by James Morgan. An overwhelming reception of her performance by the chorus and audience showed how wholeheartedly Music of Life students have been embraced into the GCS family, which is something we are exceptionally proud of.
